After Tuesday’s morning traffic was backed up because of SR 510 – Yelm Loop Bypass To Nowhere construction, I emailed Dennis Engel at the Washington State Department of Transportation, who replied to me quickly with some great info on the construction schedule.

Ordinance 918 Passes – Up Goes Your Water Bill

Ordinance 918 passed unanimously, without questions or discussion by the Yelm’s City Council on March 9th.
This will result in a increase of 16% effective April 1st, 2010, a 2nd increase of 16% January 1, 2011 and then 8.25% each January 1st 2012-2015 in the water bills of Yelm residents and businesses.
